Alliance Inquiry Groups

Inquiry groups are ad hoc, flexible groups of Alliance educators who gather research and successful strategies on particular school issues. With the help of Alliance staff and the Board of Advisors, these groups produce reports and briefings to help themselves and other schools improve their practice. Their topics may call for short-term effort – such as identifying effective staff development consultants on reading; or long-term study – for example, learning how to build leadership within a school to insure continuity as new staff and leaders come on board.

Inquiry Group presently in operation:

  • Sustainability - Sarah Howard, ACT Charter School; Jim Schwartz, Al Raby H.S.; Alfredo Nambo, Big Picture Back-of-the-Yards HS; Sally Ewing, Passages Charter School; Michelle Russell, Young Women's Leadership Charter School.

Members wishing to propose or initiate a new Inquiry Group go to "Starting an Inquiry Group" in the Alliance Member Resources area of the website.
